Saturday, September 11, 2021 - The 1954 Ducru-Beaucaillou is a huge surprise, showing an elegant redcurrant, alpine strawberry, and green peppercorn nose, accented by loam and leather, simultaneously offering both tertiary and fresh notes. It has quite a bit in common with fine burgundy of the era and surely would cause confusion in a blind tasting.
