Monday, January 2, 2023 - Appearance - clear, medium plus (plus?) ruby. Not opaque but close.

Nose - clean, youthful, red and black berries, some green spices. Mint, tarragon, rosemary, dill.

Palate - very drinkable. Fresh, young, lively on palate. Balanced. Acidity is medium. Young tannins, notes same as nose, but add in black pepper, predominantly Merlot and you feel the velvet. Juicy berry fruit. Fresh. Alcohol is medium and it all feels integrated. Finish is medium plus. You taste the black berry fruits. Someone else wrote plum and chocolate. I get that too. But I would say raspberry and chocolate. The filling in a dark chocolate bar.

I think this wine holds promise in how it develops. And for the price a nice buy. Perfect pairing with some chocolate! Chocolate with ginger and orange peel. Perfect.
