Tuesday, December 25, 2012 - I was disappointed in this bottle - I expected more but I guess the wine followed the vintage -- Not a good vintage and not a great wine. For sure this bottle was past it's prime but I did not get a sense that this wine had lost all that much in quality (n more than a couple of points). It had a dark medium purple color with a nice bricking. There was nice light fruit and very nice tannin on the taste. It was a bit out of balance-- a touch on the acid side; which I attribute to it's being a bit too old andits loss of fruitiness. Still a good aged CNdP but not a great one.
