Tuesday, June 23, 2015 - Initially, plenty of spice and ash flavor. Nice complement to spicy food. After breathing, the spice aroma integrates with ripe blackberry brandy, cinnamon and clove. The rich, round palate is teaming with ripe dark fruit, tobacco and fig flavor. The flavor profile is sustained to the finish where it is married with ample grippy tannins. The original 89 rating ramped up to 90.
