Friday, January 5, 2024 - Fair amount of review variation on this vintage, spectrum of 86- 94 points....a 1 hour decant makes all the difference, sometimes.
On nose: faint, but present note of blackberries and vanilla/ oak.
On palate: above notes clearly present, with cranberry, ripe strawberry, Kona coffee, ripe figs, delivered on a lightly tannic medium body , after a 1 hour decant .
Great wine for beef, pork, pasta puttanesca.
At 4 years of age, has the backbone to cellar for at least another 5.
