Saturday, February 3, 2024 - Under composite cork. Poured for an hour. Medium light colour, cross between cherry red and garnet grading to tea at the rim. Sour cherry, leather, a bit animally, and some earthy dried hedgerow and berries on the nose. Very different! Medium bodied, quite dry, high fine tannins, brisk acidity and a crunchy sappy finish. Palate follows the nose. Sour cherry, cherrywood, earth, leather and a bit of licorice. Nicely balanced. Moderately long finish. Elevated rusticity (if that's a thing). I can see this growing on me!
