Friday, June 2, 2023 - Consumed over 2 days. Initial nose is leesy with lime rind, citrus and tropical fruit. Palate comes through similarly, chalk, limestone, tropical fruit, lees, no obvious oak on the palate but given the viscosity and fuller body its there and nicely integrated already. Lemon custard, sweet melon, green apple, beautifully expressive but clearly still wound up. Not classic but not necessarily atypical for Chablis, No searing acid here and not classically lean but still has the profile. Really good qpr at $65.
