Wednesday, February 28, 2024 - Color: Deep ruby/purple. Nose: Dark fruit. Coconut. A hint of spice. Mouth: Full bodied. A tad too much coconut aroma from the barrel for my liking. The fruit is noticeable. Some coffee aroma in the finish. The 14.5% alc. is a tad noticeable. Very good expressiveness and length. It's a crowd pleaser for sure but not quite upon my alley. Nevertheless it is well made. I would drink up. It is getting better while breathing in the glass. Before it felt a tad disjointed. Now there is very tasty cherries and a hint of bitter almond. And the coconut beautifully integrated itself into the wine. I am really liking it, now. Perhaps there is no urge to empty those bottles now.
