Tuesday, June 18, 1991 - Back home at 1am after a disastrous rendition of Idomeneo by the Dutch National Opera at the Stopera in Amsterdam (Holland Festival). Medium garnet colour; slightly alcoholic nose, ripe black and red fruit, vanilla and oak, good Nebbiolo typicity, impenetrable and exotic; full and supple palate, already softened, juicy and harmonious, fleshy, bright acidity; good length. Drinking well, but has more to give.
