On the palate I was put off by the high alcohol and dissolved CO2 in this bottle, which made the wine hotter with a more pronounced citrus component and lighter mouth feel. I re-corked it with a rubber stopper and shook the hell out of the bottle, which created a good amount of fizz and foam. After this the wine showed much better with less grapefruit and more red fruit and sweet oak flavors. Recorked and will finish off tonight.
