89 Points

Sunday, February 1, 2015 - Bttle no. 151. Cork in excellent shape. Pale/med garnet, wine pale mahogany rim. Nose is reticent, with dusty earth, vegetal bitterness, some liquorice, touch of spice as it warms slightly. Medium bodied, earth, iron, but also surprising volume and a touch of savoury plum fruit, fine tannins, good acidity carries a very good length harmonious finish. Palate better than the nose suggests. Slightly old fashioned and not perhaps as good as it could be but nevertheless interesting and enjoyable.
