Thursday, June 15, 2023 - In line with La Spinetta Barbera wines I had previously. Perfectly mature black and blue berries are apparent in the nose. On the palate these are joined by aromatic florals, liquorice and even a touch of vanilla, in a good concentration. The balance is near perfect with a touch more acidity than previous vintages I tasted, if my memory serves me right. The juicy character is emphasised by savoury, fresh blackberry (bramble). The intense nature keeps up to the end, which has a bit of pepper to it. Tannins are modest and yield a dry impression in the finish.
