Friday, December 28, 2018 - Initial pour reveals light aroma of violets, orange rind, stewed fruit, sous bois. Very pleasant. After some time in the decanter, the bouquet opens up with cassis, anise, tobacco, mint, and a faint leather aroma. Taste is very pure with well integrated tannins and moderate acidity, but the aromatics are light and the wine struggles to stand up to a meal with more pronounced flavors.
