Saturday, February 12, 2022 - The nose wafts sweet cigar tobacco, mountain strawberry, black cherry fruit leather, black pepper, and black currant. It’s a palate coating medium bodied palate with very smooth tannins and modest, precise acid. It’s surprisingly refined for its age. The flavor profile includes black cherry syrup, salty black plum, black currant, slightly funky underbrush, and faint bell pepper. Flora always delivers with the Trilogy and 2019 is no different. It’s imminently approachable now, but I get the sense there’s some good stuff hiding behind a good three to five more years in the bottle.
