Thursday, May 12, 2022 - Compared to the other Barbarescos tasted today this is quite a bit burlier, more tannic, darker and deeper. I'd age this a bit more - at least 5 years and probably more before opening. Still, the nose is very pretty, full of flowers, cooking spices and red fruit. The palate is dark fruited, alluring and very well balanced. No harm would come from opening now with the right food to balance the tannins.
