Saturday, April 2, 2022 - Great value. A complex and serious nose. Salted black cherry, but some startling smoke and woodsy notes weaved in (this set it apart from Les Eduens which we tried in parallel). This one arrested me from the first whiff and first taste. I am no Pinot expert but this is one of the more dark expressions of it that I have tasted. Update day 2: still love this, but would dial down the oak (notes say 30-40% new).
