Saturday, January 24, 2015 - Lovely red strawberry fruit, dusty, minty, leathery nose. Took about 2h to really open up. Oak and tannins are resolved and the acidtiy carries the wine in a smooth lifting way. Lots of flowery fruit left complemented by licorice. Medium body. Still plenty of life ahead but this was my only bottle, sadly. My first encounter with a mature Prado Enea, and I thought I didn't particularly enjoyed Rioja, but I have to surrender! Again this shows that good wine is much a matter of patience. 92-93p
