Saturday, September 5, 2020 - Drank alongside a Delamotte Collection 1999. This was far more developed and complex at this point in its life. You feel like this is at the end of its life and probably needs drinking. Pale lemon. Developed nose. Toast, mushrooms, honey. A great champagne, but showing its age. Definitely not as much aging potential as the 1996 Pol Roger BdB tried the week before, or the aforementioned Delamotte. Shared by me with TL and CK.
