Sunday, March 10, 2024 - Right out of the bottle this comes across very similar to my prior note from October. With four hours slow ox The nose is more dark than floral; dark black fruit, crushed stone, graphite, and REALLY FAINT vegetal components.
Across the palate this is Cabernet meets Malbec. Super dark in every regard, but not as heavy or dark as one expects from these varietals. Charcoal, crushed stone, insanely dark fruit and while there's plenty of tannic structure its surprisingly approachable. Not sure id take this as a CF but can assure you I don't care; It's a solid wine and that's all that matters. Good through 2028+.
