Straw gold in color. The nose comes through in the mid register with lots of petrol upfront with a little green apple in the background.
Slightly above medium weight on the palate, there’s a slight oily slickness to the texture. The palate delivers on the nose and then takes it a step further with petrol, apple skins, citrus and river rock. More of a nicely meandering finish, alternating between citrus and mineral on the way out.
Another nice, dry Riesling that is seemingly at the forefront of a nice drinking window.
I’d still wait a year to open my next one, but I’d look forward to enjoying this whenever a dry, petrol forward Riesling is the preferred accompaniment. Squid ink risotto, octopus and the like.
