Friday, May 22, 2020 - A good showing but not really meeting the (high) expectations. Starting very tight but opening up after 40 min in the glass with notes of mushrooms, gunpowder citrus. Never really bloomed fully though and I think I'd actually prefer a GC to this particular bottle.

This was my first (and only) bottle of the -00 vintage so I can't really provide much insight apart from all Krug bottles I've had so far have required some air to open up - usually peaking 1-2 hours after opening.
My -00 wasn't really "citrusy" in a tight "young wine" way but rather muted.. then again, I've heard that -00 is a atypical vintage.
