Wednesday, February 15, 2023 - Popped and poured. Medium dark ruby color. Nose of raspberry jam, hint of pepper, purple florals, cherry cough drop and a touch of heat coming through on the back end. Similar flavors on the palate with lots of ripe, juicy red fruits, floral notes and spice with a slightly sweet/candied profile to the fruit. Medium acid and tannin. Finishes slightly hot at 15.5% abv on the label. Overall, this is well made, tasty CdP that is probably a little on the young side but just not a style of wine I seek out much these days. Under delivers for the price for me.
