Monday, February 27, 2023 - Coming out of the bottle, something in me expected the lightness in color simply from the region, however I was pleasantly surprised upon tasting! This wine has a gorgeous garnet color with bright clarity. Heavier bodied for a pinot noir, the aromas were pleasant and vibrant boasting dark berries and plum with the oak aging made apparent. After tasting, there is high acidity from the higher alcohol content leaving your gums tingling for more. With deeper berry flavors like fresh summer blackberries and a fresh stoniness in the finish, this one was a win for me. Linear and complete, reminds me of French style pinots.
