Sunday, August 9, 2020 - Classic profile of ripe red fruit, roses, tar, spice and liquorice, with good acidity, fine tannin and very good length. The 2005 La Serra doesn’t have the complexity of the very best examples, and doesn’t possess the energy of great vintages, but it is refined and well-balanced, and a joy to drink. I would drink it now, with three to four hours aeration.
