Saturday, April 13, 2024 - Initial notes of talc and furred game were a little off-putting but underlying this there was sweet blackcurrant fruit supported with some pleasing tannins. Reasonably bright and fresh it had a sweet-fruited lingering finish. Not a bad wine, but I think the Bretty notes put me off so I was a bit underwhelmed and disappointed. A real shame as the wine-maker has an excellent pedigree and I’d been dying to try this for some time. CHP 88 pts
