Sunday, April 7, 2024 - Lovely and versatile at the table. After I uncorked it--was hell bent on trying it soon--I worried it might clash with seared tuna and other sushi. "Wtf was I thinking; how on Earth will Chenin's orchard fruit interface with salty fish". Well, let me tell you, this Vouvray and our yellowtail hamachi were meant to be. Worked great with everything on the table. Richer at its core than the Batardiere Cocus I'd tried recently, but still nothing too outsized the way the fruit on my beloved Chidaine can be in recent vintages (still love those, but they're not as nervy as they once were in past cooler vintages). Great stuff.
