Sunday, November 30, 2008 - Buenos Aires Visit - Miscellaeous Wines; 11/30/2008-12/2/2008: Dinner @ La Cabrera, Buenos Aires. Quite fruit-forward, with concentrated dark fruit and an interesting smoky/earthy/tobacco flavor component that began to show with some time in the glass. Slight dill pickle flavor, reflecting its 20% American oak treatment. Good acid balance, but didn't have quite enough tannin or structure to stand up to our (huge) grilled Argentinian steaks.
