Monday, September 1, 2008 - The nose, like most SB from Marlborough is extremely vibrant and jumps out of the glass - think a newly mown lawn drenched in freshly squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice. The attack is full bodied and rife with delicious acid. The mid-palate dances with grapefruit juice and lemon peel. The acidity is razor sharp and the finish is long. This wine is not as focused on the mid-palate as many more expensive SBs from this region (Kim Crawford, Dog Point, etc) but this juice rolls in at just 6.99 in CA. So, at that price, this wine is a STEAL. Buy it by the case and drink all summer (and winter) long. Lord knows I will. Cheers.
