Saturday, December 30, 2023 - Medium ruby color. White smoke, boysenberry, red cherry, authentic dark maraschino cherry, raspberry, blueberry, light beef jerky, soy sauce, cumin, white pepper, bramble, and emerging tertiary with dried mushroom. Lavender and creamy dark chocolate emerge after an hour. M aromatic intensity. M+ flavor intensity. M+/H fine-grained tannins that become pleasantly chewy. M+ body overall, with slightly less weight of the polished mid-palate texture. M/M+ finish. H alcohol (16%) is just a little "hot" and out of balance. Enjoyable now with fresh youthful flavors, but should develop more complexity with age, with the tannins becoming more integrated and soft. I'd estimate a nice balance of primary and tertiary flavors 2028-2033.
