Sunday, November 20, 2022 - I committed infanticide last night and opened one of these up for a dinner party at my house and drank next to a Quilceda Creek 2016. The PMLP was in the level of QC!! No BS!
Opened and decanted for 4 hours. The initial sip was approachable, but after 4 hours was a massive, yet elegant wine. Of course, the color was youthful, but after the decant, the nose was earthy and floral, in decanters side by side with QC, the were only subtle differences in the nose. The wine swirls on the palate with dark berries, cassis, mocha, and a hint of bell pepper. A nice pop on the palate with tannins (it's a baby) and well-balanced acidity that creates a hedonistic finish.
