Thursday, May 11, 2017 - Decanted for two hours; very heavy sediment. Clear garnet color with some bricking. Modest nose of dark berries. Dark fruit on the palate with plenty of acids and still quite prominent tannins. Medium length finish emphasizing the tannins. Hopefully, this wine will continue to improve, keeping its fruit and with the tannins fading. I'm a fan of Sagrantino and look forward to tracking the development of this wine over the next 5-6 years.
