Thursday, July 6, 2023 - Cloudy orange in color. The smell developed in the glass as it warmed from ~60f to perhaps mid-60s: at first a bit reticent but nice apricot and orange, then moving up into band-aid and leather (still with a little fruitiness in the background). The taste stuck to leather and apricot mostly. Good balance of acid and tannin, and of savory and fruity flavors, with good power and a medium-plus finish. I confess I don't understand the hype, albeit this is their entry-level offering (and there is said to be lots of variation from bottle to bottle), and I find the QPR pretty poor.
