Friday, December 24, 2021 - Was really looking forward to this wine but it really fell short of expectations. Lots of earthy ground coffee note on the nose. On the palette you get a lot of heavy tertiary notes and brett coupled with formidable acidity in the backend but the mid palette rings hollow with very little to no fruit in the whole experience. Some ppl say that 1998 burgundies are coming around but cant say this particular bottle supports that hypothesis.
