Thursday, March 14, 2024 - coppery salmon colour and very fine bubbles. bruised apple, raspberry, strawberry and brioche nose accented with spring blooms and a sprinkling of almonds. very fresh and full in the mouth, it is framed by twin acidic and mineral veins. there is a layered autolytic richness to the tartness of the fruit flavours that gives it impressive depth. very long with a bright berry note in the finish.
very gastronomic and richly rewarding, both viscerally and cerebrally.
12.7% AbV; dosage 8g/L; 50% Chardonnay/ 50% Pinot Noir; 3.9% reserve wine from 2014, 2012, and 2010; colour comes from 4.5% still red wine; five years on the lees.
