Monday, July 24, 2023 - Tasting with Hilda

The wood is more evident than on the Clos Guillot. Dark fruits, spice. It's deeper and more structured with violet more than rose florals. Firmer tannins, more stuffing, more brooding. There ice also more savory earthy notes than the Clos Guillot. More serious, more closed, and in need of substantial cellar time. This is solid, and will be really good in a decade plus, but in my heart I like Clos Guillot more.
