Thursday, December 13, 2012 - Rhones and Riesling with new friends (Grand Sichuan, St. Marks Place, New York, NY): Cloudy brown-orange. Cidery and mature aromas, dried apricot and fig, spicy and floral with some green aspects. Brilliant acid on the palate: tangerine, apricot and spice. Really good drive with a spicy apricot finish. Nose - 4/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 16/20.
