Wednesday, November 8, 2023 - 54th birthday dinner. Near birth year. This started slowly, surprisingly dark and dusky, not very forthcoming at first. But oh the depth! Layers and layers of chocolate covered cherry and mineral with impressive freshness and structure. I have had better bottles, and this wine has seen better days, but it is still an impressive Margaux. Deep, red fruit. Deep minerality. Smoke. Surprisingly structured and austere.

    11/10/2023 10:26:00 AM - Hi Eric

I understand you were in one my favourite restaurants in Dublin last year. Montys Of Kathmandu. Shiva is a friend of mine and we had a lunch in his restaurant yesterday. By coincidence I brought the 1982 Pichon Lalande, and he supplied a white Leflaive. If you are ever visiting again give me a shout, and I would be more than happy to crack open another bottle of the Pichon Lalande.

Maybe confusing me with Heini who founded Vivino and is QUITE tall?
