Saturday, December 18, 2010 - Finally a '70 Palmer that lived up to its lofty but often unfulfilled reputation. I purchased this bottle from Golden West many years ago. Level low neck. Mature but deep garnet. Terrific Palmer perfume at it's best, a flower garden of violets and all shades of roses. Velvety texture, firm entry and intense finish. It's hard to believe this wine is 40 years old but so vigorous there are no tertiary characteristics.
