Sunday, May 13, 2012 - from and excellent looking bottle with a VTS fill, this wine look in the zone with a deep red center and tawny rims. The medium+ intensity nose showed plum, black cherries, gravel, and brown spices.
As usual, this wine needed 4+ hours to show its best. It was fantastically silky, complex and had excellent length for such a subtle wine. This wine was the definition of balance with soft, integrated tannin. While I doubt it will get any better, it will certainly last for many years at this level.
