Wednesday, July 4, 2007 - Enjoyed this beyond my expectations. At first it seemed a little weak, but after about half an hour decant it was showing some pleasant black fruit, fig, and plum on the nose, and plum in the mouth. It shifted noticeably toward a cherry profile after another hour or so. Over the course of the evening, the fruit characters always retained real purity and balance. Tannins are integrated by now, and I barely noticed any hint of oak that seemed to have bothered others. Ready to drink now.
