90 Points

Friday, November 14, 2008 - Spices, violets, and earth on the nose lead to a palate loaded with cherries, blackberries, and spices. The wine is dense, concentrated and full of flavor, as it is typical in the Alentejo, but has enough balance and secondary aromas to avoid the fruit-bomb trap. I bought it while travelling in Portugal for immedaite consumption after reading drdebs' note below, which was right on the money.
