Saturday, February 10, 2024 - New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: Ruby almost to the rim. Enticing combination of smoke and black cherry on the nose with a little wood spice as well. Medium weight, attractive saline/soil core. Savory, fresh dark fruit supported by excellent acidity and light tannins. Balanced, long, and sappy. Impressive and I may well have guessed Premier Cru Côte de Nuits had I been presented with it blind.
