Friday, March 31, 2023 - Pop and pour for this one.

On the nose, tart red fruit and subtle oak. Initial sips followed this trend with prominent sour cherry, subtle oak, and leather. This opened up in the glass with some smoke and white pepper. Short, pleasing finish.

Med bodied, med acidity, dry and with grippy tannins. This was smooth and well balanced, with the notes I have come to expect from a well priced Valpolicella. Tasted this against the Amarone, which is one of my favorites for the price. Very solid bottle. Will sip again.
