Community Tasting Note

Saturday, September 3, 2022 - Decant this for 6+ hours or drink it over a couple days, as it is tight on opening. This note is after a few hours open, when it was just starting to strut... Aromas of red cherry, blue plum, raspberry, menthol, dried mushrooms, sweet almond candy, a little licorice, roses, and bloody steak... Medium bodied, fresh, and satin textured; this is fine boned as Barbaresco goes; tannins grip but do not overwhelm, acid is buried and supportive, fruit is layered and dense... a fabulous inner perfume of stone fruits and minty herbs seamlessly integrates with a long pure finish that highlights minerality, cherry and fine-grained tannin. Very pretty right now, but this deserves cellaring. I don't see it shutting down, but rather steadily improving for 5 to 10, if not 15 to 20. When it hits its stride, I expect it will be elegant and ebullient at once. This is a beauty.
