Tuesday, March 19, 2024 - Very seductive wine. Nose has smoky redcurrants, a twist of white pepper and, with air, some mushroom duxelles. Palate follows along similar lines, à point now and will hold for a good few year yet. Lovely accompaniment to a cracking Guinea Fowl dish, after 20 mins a lovely umami character builds; a touch of hoi sin and some roasting juices. Hints of cinnamon and a tiny spot of grenadine. Fabulous wine.
