Saturday, May 30, 2015 - Damp cork, near perfect fill from a properly stored bottle. PnP, consumed 4/5 of the bottle over 3 hours on night 1 before the remainder was corked and stored at 37F. Spectacular perfume of black currant, unsmoked cigars, black tea, new leather, gravely soil tones, and a light dusting of spices. Medium bodied, elegant and complete in the mouth front to back.Few ultra-fine tannins on the persistent, complex finish. Beautiful, clean bottle! Better than the 1989 Chateau Margaux I had weeks earlier. Better on its own rather than with food.

More aromatic and interesting on day 2. These should hold well for many years.
