Friday, December 29, 2023 - Soo umami and savory. Mushroom, thyme, white pepper, sage and a hint of olive on the nose accompanied by black cherry, blueberry and cassis. Silky medium bodied plus. Medium plus tannin. A touch saline There’s a lot going on here!!! Reminds me of my first Tempier 25 years ago (a ‘93, if I remember correctly). Some might interpret this wine as slightly Bretty or barnyardy. Personally, I appreciate a little earthiness along these lines. Surprisingly approachable.
