Monday, October 31, 2011 - This is bottle #2 in a 10-year experiment with aging Koonunga Hill, which my friends from Oz all claim is the best way to appreciate this wine. Tonight it was wild cherry from nose to palate, with a little molasses/tar thrown in for good measure. Very fruit forward, but tannins have nicely integrated. A little thin in the middle, and a too-short finish. But still, a nice wine for the money. Until next year ...
