Saturday, October 7, 2023 - This was such a delicious, mature Barolo more on the black fruit spectrum with authentic flavors of tar, licorice, bitter chocolate and a lovely floral lift. Not crunchy and complex but rather layered and savory with an enveloping finish and just the right amount of acidity underneath. Certainly a plug for how good a blended, high-production Barolo can be with age. Off the list at Lucciola.
