Saturday, February 4, 2023 - Company CNY dinner at One Farrer. Cork closure. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of earth, integrated vanilla oak, grilled herbs, cedar, blackcurrant and some leafiness. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), integrated tannins, just about full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of cedar, blackcurrant, black cherries, dark red plums, tobacco, leaf, earth. Long blackish soy earth finish.
Very good quality. Acidity and fruit still strong. Drinking in a good spot already. No need for further ageing.
75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot.
